Hear Every Detail, Feel Every Note
The Kiwi Ears Halcyon claims the title of the world's first MEMS + 1DD + 3BA tribrid IEM, pairing advanced MEMS technology with a dynamic driver and custom balanced armatures for complete frequency coverage. CNC-machined aluminum shells and precise acoustic design deliver a wide soundstage, clean mids, deep bass, and sparkling highs.
MEMS Technology in a Tribrid Setup
The Halcyon ranks among the first in-ear monitors to adopt a tribrid design built around advanced solid-state MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology. MEMS functions as a solid-state speaker, using silicon chips and passive components to produce a piezoelectric effect. Lacking traditional components like coils and diaphragms, MEMS excels at speed and high-resolution output, especially in the upper treble range. Paired with conventional balanced armature and dynamic drivers, the Halcyon becomes one of the first tribrid designs worldwide to harness MEMS' exceptional resolution.
