Aether

The Aether houses the biggest planar driver we've built for an IEM so far. Its 15.3mm diaphragm, driven by powerful multi-layered N52 neodymium magnets, produces sound that resembles full-sized headphone performance. Compared to standard 12mm or 14mm planar drivers, the Aether's 15.3mm unit delivers higher output with less distortion, significantly boosting audio quality. The larger driver doesn't just boost resolution—it also widens the soundstage and sharpens imaging precision. A newly engineered chamber combined with improved airflow recreates the sensation of open-back headphones or a stereo speaker setup. The result is an airy, lifelike sound typical of planar magnetic technology. Maintaining tonal accuracy was central to the Aether's design. True to Kiwi Ears' signature sound profile, the Aether delivers natural, precise audio. Bass hits with deep, subwoofer-like impact, while a gentle mid-bass to mids transition adds body warmth. The midrange (300–800Hz) stays flat for monitor-level accuracy, faithfully representing instruments and vocals. Treble is carefully tuned to match natural ear perception, delivering clear yet organic high-frequency detail.
