At the core of the Arete II is a 2nd-generation composite diaphragm dynamic driver, built to deliver stronger, deeper sub-bass. A more finely tuned crossover network gives the bass added fullness and weight in the low end, while preserving smooth transitions into the low-mids and midrange. Treble performance has also been dialed in, with increased ultra-treble output adding greater extension and headroom to the overall sound.

A newly engineered 10mm liquid-silicone suspension diaphragm gives the Arete II genuine subwoofer-level bass performance. Combined with a more fluid diaphragm design and an upgraded neodymium magnet array, the low end reaches deeper for satisfying rumble, without sacrificing punch or definition.

Midrange duties are handled by two Knowles ED 29689 drivers, prized for over twenty years as one of the industry's most dependable balanced armature units, known for their textured midrange and accurate pinna compensation. In the Arete II, the mids receive a subtle lift for warmer, more lifelike vocals and instrumentation, while a more precisely tuned 3kHz peak sharpens the transition into treble. Up top, dual Knowles SWFK 31736 tweeters — a proven design with a decade-plus track record — handle the high frequencies. Thanks to a wider tube design and refined driver placement, the Arete II achieves noticeably greater treble extension and a more open, airy soundstage. A small switch on the earcup lets you engage a bass and lower-midrange boost on the fly, tailoring the sound for different gaming situations.

Built around a full aluminum housing, each Arete II unit is individually CNC-machined from solid, aerospace-grade aluminum for exacting precision at every edge. The shells are then hardened and hand-finished before final surface treatment. Faceplates follow the same aluminum construction process, giving the Arete II both outstanding durability and a distinctly premium feel.

Every Arete II ships with a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable made from ultra-pure, silver-plated oxygen-free copper, available with both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced modular connectors. Built for clean, low-noise signal transfer, the cable adds extra durability while giving you the freedom to tailor your listening setup.
