Models like the Salnotes Zero, Dioko, and Timeless earned widespread acclaim for their outstanding value relative to sound quality. 7Hz has established itself globally as a reliable maker of high-performance IEMs, and aims to continue that legacy through further innovation and deeper community involvement. The original Timeless set a new standard for planar-driver IEMs back when the concept was still taking shape. Since its release, our team has spent considerable time revisiting planar magnetic driver design to develop more efficient solutions. The Timeless II showcases our latest engineering work, built around a larger 14.5mm diaphragm — the first dual-sided coated diaphragm ever used in an IEM. Our proprietary coating method applies an even, micron-thin layer of specialized silver alloy across the surface, substantially boosting diaphragm surface tension. Paired with a powerful dual-sided N52 magnet array, this new diaphragm reacts with remarkable speed, pushing planar diaphragm technology into new territory. Timeless II also introduces a tunable nozzle system that lets listeners shape their own sound signature. The concept borrows from speaker phase-plug design, which extends and fine-tunes ultra-high frequencies. We've engineered distinct nozzle shapes from various materials to allow precise tuning of the IEM. Each nozzle option offers a different, effective way to tailor the Timeless II's sound to match your favorite music. Housing the Timeless II's new planar drivers demanded a rebuilt acoustic enclosure to achieve balanced, natural tuning. Its 7-layer construction, dual acoustic rear-venting system, and reinforced locking mechanism allow for more precise tuning while boosting durability and stability. The diaphragm is also mounted directly onto its support structure, adding rigidity and tightening surface tension within the driver.
